Following the AGM we welcome your ideas on what 2021 holds with a short interactive session where attendees will be encouraged to share ideas for the future.
Annual General Meeting Notice
The Annual General Meeting for the Macleay Valley Business Chamber will be held on Wednesday 25th November 2020 at the Kempsey Macleay RSL commencing 7.10am.
The business of the Annual General Meeting is to include the following:
(a) to confirm the minutes of the last preceding annual general meeting and of any special general meeting held since that meeting,
(b) to receive from the committee reports on the activities of the association during the last preceding financial year,
(c) to elect office-bearers of the association and ordinary committee members,
(d) to receive and consider the financial report.
Attachments:
Any financial Member who wishes to nominate for a position as an Office Bearer or Ordinary Member of the Committee should complete a Nomination Form and return it to the Secretary on or before Wednesday 18th November 2020 via PO Box 542 Kempsey NSW 2440 or email it to admin@kempseychamber.com.au.

Join us for the first Chamber function of 2021 on Wednesday 24th February at the Coastline Credit Union Hub on Smith St, Kempsey. The February Business Breakfast is a great way to reconnect with colleagues and meet new faces as we launch into the New Year.

Janine Culnane, Employment Facilitator, Local Jobs Program, Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast
Our first presenter is Janine Culnane, Employment Facilitator, Local Jobs Program. Janine will be sharing an update on the Local Jobs Program which will run to the 30 June 2022 in 25 regions throughout Australia. It brings together expertise, resources and access to funding at the local level to focus on reskilling, upskilling and employment pathways for people in each region. The program is part of supporting Australia’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kellon Beard, Mid North Coast Regional Manager, Business NSW
Our second presenter is Kellon Beard, Mid North Coast Regional Manager, Business NSW. Kellon will be providing an update Job Keeper changes and other items from Business NSW. Business NSW, previously known as NSW Business Chamber is leading the way on advocacy for NSW businesses and are a valuable resource to business large and small. As a local Macleay Valley Chamber Member, you can access assistance and resources from NSW Business through the Alliance Membership Program for free.

About this event
The Macleay Valley Business Chamber’s May event will be held at the Country Universities Centre.
The Macleay Valley Centre has recently opened and offers a dedicated learning and study space in Kempsey that has been designed for regional people by regional people. University students have free access to high-speed Internet, modern technology, and general academic support all delivered here in the Macleay Valley.
Attendees will hear about the new service from Centre Manager, Kinne Ring and can take a tour of the new facility. Service NSW will also provide an update on their services geared to Business and support available from the Service NSW Business Concierges.
The evening represents a wonderful opportunity to meet new faces, catch up with familiar ones and to catchup on news from arond the Macleay Valley.

Join a friendly business forum and be part of the conversation on navigating the NSW Roadmap to Recovery.
The NSW Government has released has a path to follow out of the pandemic and lockdowns, with the roadmap for easing restrictions at the 80 per cent double dose target. This is expected to come in next week from Monday 11th Oct, and there are certain regulations businesses need to follow.
