The Macleay Valley Business Awards Launch Event toasts a celebration of local business.
In partnership with Major Sponsor Coastline Credit Union the Macleay Valley Business Chamber has announced the commencement of the 2021 Macleay Valley Business Awards program. The Launch event held on Wednesday 7th April 2021, was held at the Coastline Credit Union Hub in Smith St Kempsey saw a great turnout of local business.
“Coastline is proud to be the Presenting Partner of the 2021 Macleay Valley Business Awards. Coastline is all about locals supporting locals and believes in building a strong and successful business community. The Business Awards recognises the outstanding businesses within the Macleay”, said Coastline General Manager, Mr. Peter Townsend.
The 2021 event marks the fourth Coastline sponsored event over the last five years as the event did not run in 2020 due to COVID-19.
The Launch Event acknowledged the generous support for this annual celebration from 36 local businesses though Awards Sponsorship. The 2021 Awards Sponsors are championing the success of our region through their support of the Awards program, which provides the opportunity to local business to reflect on their business journey, celebrate with their team and grow their profile both locally and further afield.
This is the fifth year the local Business Awards program has been managed by The Macleay Valley Business Chamber. Each year the Awards Committee undertake a review process to ensure the Awards remain relevant and offer value to entrants in reviewing their business over the previous year.
This year there are some changes to the Awards categories and there will be multiple workshops run around the region to assist local business with their applications. Local Winners of the Business NSW aligned Awards have the opportunity to proceed to the Regional and State Awards.
“The entry process gives businesses an opportunity to reflect on their past performance and plan for the future while the judging process highlights their business to their peers and the broader community.” said Gary Scott, Chamber President.
“This is what we call a ‘Take 2’ having to largely place all our Chamber activities on hold for 2020 including our show piece event the Macleay Valley Business Awards. It is great to see the support from our business community to pick up where we left off in 2019. Given the challenges of COVID coming hard on the heels of the tragic bushfire season and more recently the floods, it just goes to show how resilient our local business community has been and especially the support given by the sponsors for this event in trying conditions.”
Chamber President Gary Scott welcomes the 2021 Partners and expressed his thanks on behalf of the Chamber and Awards Committee for the support. Local Macleay businesses, large and small are encouraged to enter the Awards which are now open for submissions and will close on Wednesday 19th May 2021.
