A letter to all Business and Workforce of the Macleay, Saturday 28th March 2020

News
Dear Macleay Valley business owners and operators and employees, Settle in because this could be a long read, however I hope helpful. I would like to begin by congratulating everyone who owns, operates or works in a Macleay Valley business and who have been trying so hard to keep their doors open to their customers (our community) in these extraordinary times. In these dreadfully difficult times it is imperative that we all try to pull together as one Macleay business to try and keep not only our own but also each other’s businesses operating for as long as possible and support each other in whatever way we can,…

Macleay Counts Down to Christmas

Events, News
Kempsey Riverside Markets soared to a new height last Saturday 1st December. Launching the countdown to Christmas there was a mega crazy day sale right across town in the CBD as well as in the West Kempsey shopping precinct. In conjunction with this, Smith street was closed for two hours and it hosted the Shannons / Red Point Show’n’shine. Vehicles assembled at the Slim Dusty Centre early in the morning and then they participated in a cruise lead by the RedPoint truck along Macleay Valley Way, into West Kempsey and then back into the CBD where they were inspected by hundreds of locals and visitors while on display. HOW TO SAVE ON YOUR ELECTRICITY

HOW TO SAVE ON YOUR ELECTRICITY

Media Releases, News
The State’s peak business organisation, the NSW Business Chamber, has launched its free ‘NSW Business Energy Comparison’ tool. Advocating for affordable and reliable energy has been a priority of the Chamber for a long time, aiming to reduce excessive network costs and concentration of wholesale and retail markets. “What we were surprised to find, was the complexity of quotes the companies have been given. Making it almost impossible to work out whether you’re on the best deal,” said Kellon Beard, Regional Manager Mid North Coast NSW Business Chamber. Across the State, we are seeing some great savings. “On average we’re saving businesses about $1,500 per annum on their bills, but there are some big energy consumers such as bakeries and car dealers who are saving over $20,000 per year,” said…

New tool to assess your digital fitness

New tool to assess your digital fitness

News
Small businesses can now take advantage of a new digital diagnostic tool that has been developed for the Australian Small Business Advisory Service to help business owners understand the changing environment and identify gaps and opportunities to grow their enterprise. The assessment tool takes a business owner through a series of questions from which priorities are identified. This information is then used to design a quality action plan that highlights areas in addressing future business needs. The Australian Small Business Advisory Service is an initiative of the Federal Government to support and empower small business in the rapidly growing digital economy. The program is operated on the Mid North Coast, Northern NSW and New England areas through the Northern Region Business Enterprise Centre (NRBEC). Chief Executive Officer of the NRBEC, Graham Baxter, said that the advisory…
